Pricing

Free to download. One optional annual subscription.

Findy costs nothing to install, and the scanning tools most people use most often stay free. The camera tools and the network scanner are part of Findy Pro, which costs $39.99 per year in the United States.

The full price, stated plainly

Findy Pro is an annual auto-renewing subscription. The price varies by region and by the offer shown; in the United States it is most commonly $39.99 per year. The App Store always shows the exact amount you will be charged before you confirm, and that figure is the one that applies. There is no monthly plan, no weekly plan and no one-off lifetime purchase. We do not advertise this price broken down into a per-day or per-month figure, because that is not what leaves your account.

What each tier includes

Findy — the free tier

No account, no sign-up, no time limit.

  • Bluetooth device scanner — list nearby devices that are advertising, with approximate signal strength
  • Magnetic-field checks — investigate a specific object using the iPhone magnetometer
  • Background item-tracker following detection — watches for a device that keeps reappearing near you across places
  • The guided inspection checklist — the room-by-room walkthrough of the objects worth examining first

These are the free tier — no account, no sign-up, no time limit. These are not trial versions.

Findy Pro — $39.99 per year

Everything in the free tier, plus:

  • Infrared viewing mode — a camera mode intended to make possible infrared sources easier to notice in a dark room
  • Lens-glint finder — camera-assisted inspection for the bright reflective point a lens can produce
  • Automatic lens scan — runs the lens-reflection check continuously as you move the camera across a surface
  • Network scanner — Bonjour service browsing, local port scanning, and alerts when a device is new to a network since your last scan

Read what each of these methods can and cannot find before subscribing.

Prices outside the United States

$39.99 per year is the United States price. Prices in other countries and regions are set by Apple's regional price tiers and will differ — because of currency, local tax and Apple's tier rounding. The App Store always shows the exact amount in your own currency before you confirm, and that figure is the one that applies.

Findy Pro does not currently include a free trial. If that changes, this page will say so and the length will be stated here.

How to cancel

Cancelling is done through Apple, and it works the same way for every App Store subscription.

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap your name at the top of the screen.
  3. Tap Subscriptions.
  4. Tap Findy in the list.
  5. Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the Pro tools until the end of the period you have already paid for. If you do not see a Cancel option, the subscription has already been cancelled or was bought under a different Apple Account.

How to restore a purchase

If you reinstall Findy, change device, or the Pro tools stop appearing, restoring re-links the subscription to the app. Use the same Apple Account the subscription was bought with — a subscription cannot be moved between Apple Accounts.

  1. Make sure you are signed in to the App Store with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
  2. Open Findy and go to Settings.
  3. Tap Restore Purchases.
  4. Wait for Apple to confirm — the Pro tools unlock without a second charge.

If restoring does not work, email azattgoktas@gmail.com and say which device and iOS version you are on.

How to request a refund

Refunds come from Apple, not from us

Apple processes every purchase and holds the money. We cannot issue a refund directly, and we have no ability to reverse a charge. All refund decisions are Apple's.

  1. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com in a browser.
  2. Sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase.
  3. Choose Request a refund, then pick a reason from the list.
  4. Select the Findy purchase and submit the request.
  5. Apple reviews it and emails you the outcome. We have no visibility into how long Apple takes to decide.

You can also request a refund from an iPhone by opening the App Store, tapping your account picture, then Purchased, and following the same report-a-problem route. Telling us what went wrong is still useful — it will not speed up the refund, but it may fix the underlying problem.

What happens to your data if you cancel

Nothing is lost. Findy's scan data is stored locally on your device, not on a server, so there is no account to close and nothing for us to delete on your behalf. Cancelling Findy Pro removes access to the camera tools and the network scanner at the end of the paid period. Your saved scans, your baselines and your checklist progress stay on the device exactly as they were, and become available again if you subscribe again later.

Deleting the app removes that local data from the device, as with any iOS app.

Try the free tier first

The Bluetooth scanner, the magnetic-field checks, the background tracker detection and the guided checklist all work without paying anything. Subscribe only if you want the camera tools and the network scanner.
